Step-by-Step Registration Process for MAT May 2026
The application process is entirely online. Follow this 6-step guide to ensure your form is accepted without errors:
1. Account Creation
Visit the official AIMA MAT portal at mat.aima.in. Click on the "Register" button and enter your basic details:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Email ID & Mobile Number
- State/City
- Create a Password
You will receive an OTP to verify your email and mobile. This step is mandatory to generate your unique login ID.
2. Log In & Choose Test Mode
Use your credentials to log in. You must decide whether you want to take a Single Mode (PBT or CBT) or Both Modes (PBT + CBT).
Tip: Opting for "Both Modes" allows you to send your scores to 7 B-Schools for free (instead of 5) and gives you two attempts to maximize your percentile.
3. Fill Personal & Academic Details
Fill in your parent's names, category, and address. In the academic section, you will need:
- Class 10 & 12 Marks/Percentage
- Graduation details (Year of passing, Degree, and Percentage)
- Work experience (if any)
4. B-School Selection
This is a crucial step. You can select 5 Management Institutes (or more if you pay extra) to receive your scores directly. Choose colleges that align with your expected percentile. You can refer to our Top MBA Colleges Accepting MAT guide for help.
5. Upload Documents
Ensure your files are in the prescribed size and format (JPG/JPEG):
- Photograph: Recent color passport-size photo (50 KB to 100 KB).
- Signature: Scanned signature on white paper (10 KB to 40 KB).
6. Payment of Application Fee
Pay the fee using a Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Final Preparation Advice
Since the PBT exam is on May 31, you have less than a month. Focus on:
- Mock Tests: Solve at least 5-10 full-length mocks. You can access our Free MAT Mock Test Series for practice.
- Time Management: You have 150 minutes for 150 questions. Speed is more important than solving complex equations.
- General Awareness: While not counted in the merit score by most colleges, it's good to stay updated for the interview rounds later.
